Who We Are

Marena Mining (Pty) Ltd is a 100% black youth owned and managed company based in Emalahleni (Witbank). Marena is a Sotho word which means ‘Royals’. The company is driven by the nature of its DNA to provide services and products that are befitting of its name. The company is a Level 1 BEE contributor and specialises in various services across the coal value chain with the production, beneficiation and trading of coal being the primary business model.

The company subscribes to the fundamental values of UBUNTU and good corporate governance framework as guided by the King III Report. The company has contributed significantly to sustainable job creation and economic empowerment through its value chain as well as through its associates and foundation Ubuntu CSI Services Pty Ltd and

and its partners boasts an impressive fleet of earthmoving machinery (ADT’s, Excavators, Dozers etc) as well as light duty construction equipment (Site dumpers, TLB’s, Tipper trucks) to undertake a variety of large infrastructure projects in South Africa.

[Contract Mining Division]

is set out to be a multi-discipline contract mining division that provides customized turnkey solutions with regards to production output including co-sourcing and outsourcing.

Marena Mining (Pty) Ltd
[Land Rehabilitation Division]

encompasses the rehabilitation of land for environmental compliance purposes as per the MPRD Act 28 of 2002 and other environmental best practices charters. This includes Horticultural Services and Eco-System activation and management.
